Mind you I am not much of a photographer beyond pointing and shooting. No tweaking in Photoshop for me! :) I can see what you mean by some photos lacking something if a vignette is used. Sound advice. I must say I love that second photo, i want to be drawn into the larger branch across the middle because it has wow factor but when my eyes stray to the tangle of branches in the background I can't help but think of a tangled fairy woodland.
